Pep Guardiola tells Man City players to limit their social media use to reduce the threat of attack on their homes – after burglars ‘terrify Jack Grealish’s family and escape his mansion with £1MILLION in jewellery’

Pep Guardiola has told footballers to restrict their use of social media to limit the threat of attacks on their homes, after Jack Grealish‘s family were forced to hit panic buttons during a raid this week. 

Ten of Grealish’s close circle, including fiancée Sasha Attwood, were watching Manchester City beat Everton on television at his new £5.6million mansion on Wednesday when intruders broke in.

Police feared a hostage situation and had a helicopter patrolling the area. The burglary amounted to £1m worth of jewellery stolen.

Grealish, 28, has been shaken and was given Thursday off but is expected to be available on Saturday to face Sheffield United.

‘The players have security,’ said Guardiola. ‘But unfortunately it has happened, it has happened many times. Manchester United players as well.

‘It has happened in London. Today you have to be careful, definitely.

‘Not much on social media, the less they know what you are doing the better.

‘People are waiting. Waiting to see where you are.

‘There is a big difference between the classes. There are people with a lot of money and people struggling.
