Erling Haaland has rejoined Manchester City training as the star striker eyes a comeback from a bone stress injury in his foot.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The goal machine has not featured in a game for the English champions since playing against Aston Villa in the Premier League on December 6. But on Monday, the Norwegian rejoined training in Abu Dhabi – where the club have set up their warm weather training camp – and is now eyeing a comeback.

The Cityzens star shared a photo from Monday’s training session on Instagram with the caption, “Oh how I’ve missed this!”

The 23-year-old has missed the last nine matches of his club across all competitions which include five Premier League games due to a bone stress injury in his foot. Earlier this month, he had briefly rejoined training ahead of the team’s FA Cup fixture against Huddersfield, although Pep Guardiola made it clear that he won’t rush back his star player into action.

WHAT NEXT FOR MANCHESTER CITY?

Guardiola’s side are currently preparing for their upcoming crucial FA Cup fourth-round encounter against Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.
