More and more details are emerging about the new tennis star
The newest winner of the US Open in tennis is American youngster Coco Gauff and new details are emerging constantly about her life.
She got the better of Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday despite making a number of errors early in the match.
Gauff was actually the favourite to win despite having never won a grand slam before, meaning there was a lot of pressure on her.

There have been various whispers during the tournament about her relationship status and who she is with, and she revealed some big details after she had been crowned US Open champion.

In the post-match press conference of the US Open final, Gauff said, “I just called my boyfriend, and I told him let’s talk until it’s time to go to sleep so we spoke until 1:00 a.m. and then I went to sleep. I woke up this morning. Yeah, when I lost the first set I still felt I was into the match and I said, you know, I’m going to give it my all.”
Since she became a professional player, Gauff has been very mature and professional and her personal life seems to have stayed well away from the court.
That is why so many fans were caught off-guard by her mentioning a boyfriend.
With Serena and Venus Williams no longer leading the way for American women in tennis, Gauff’s US Open triumph means that she is the top dog in this sporting sphere right now.
