World no. 1 Jannik Sinner sailed into the Wimbledon fourth round, reaching the second week for the third straight year in London. Following a tough win over his compatriot Matteo Berrettini two days ago, Sinner enjoyed a relaxed day at the office on Centre Court against Miomir Kecmanovic.
The Italian ousted the Serb 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 in an hour and 36 minutes, joining Carlos Alcaraz in the last 16. Jannik claimed 28 points more than Miomir and dominated every segment in a routine triumph. Sinner landed 11 aces and played well behind the first and second serve, facing the only break point in the last game of the encounter and mounting the pressure on Kecmanovic.
As the result suggests, Miomir could not deal with it, struggling against a rock-solid rival on the other side of the net.
The Serb stumbled behind the second serve and offered the Italian seven break chances, losing serve five times and ending his campaign in the third round.
Jannik fired 35 winners and 15 unforced errors, outplaying his opponent in the shortest and more advanced exchanges. Sinner was off to a flying start, barely losing a point behind the initial shot and storming over Kecmanovic on the return.
World no. 1 cracked a backhand down the line winner in the second game of the encounter, earning an early break and holding at love in the next one with a service winner for a 3-0 advantage. Jannik attacked in the fourth game and caused Kecmanovic’s mistake for a break point.

Kecmanovic played against a break point in the third game of the second set, saving it with a backhand down the line winner and holding, already doing better than in the opener. However, he could not do anything on the return, with Sinner notching one good hold after another.
Miomir served at 4-4 and built a 40-15 lead. He squandered game points and faced a break point after Jannik’s attack and a volley winner at the net. Sinner drew Kecmanovic’s mistake with a deep return, securing a break and holding at 30 in the next one with a service winner for a 6-1, 6-4 lead in 61 minutes!

The Italian made another push on the return in the fifth game, welcoming the Serb’s mistake and racing 4-1 in front. Sinner served for the win at 5-2 and sprayed a double fault, facing the first break point of the duel. He denied it with a crafty defense and a cracking forehand crosscourt winner before converting the match point after Kecmanovic’s forehand error, booking a place in the last 16.
