Despite already being a young great champion and an exceptional athlete, Carlos Alcaraz still has some issues to fix in his tennis, probably also due to his young age, as also pointed out by Roger Federer, present at the Laver Cup held Berlin as the tournament organizer, who gave his opinion on the 21-year-old.

The Swiss gave some advice to smooth out some problems that the young Spaniard has highlighted in recent times, explaining how Carlos must be careful not to run for every ball.

“His intensity, the power of his shots, his physical abilities. It is clear that he must be careful not to run for every ball, because it is not necessary. But he will learn with age and with time,” analyzed the Swiss Maestro.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion did not hide his desire to see him in action for the first time live: “But he is already very strong when it comes to the important points. Beating Novak in five sets when he was playing at his best at Wimbledon, he showed that day that he is that player and that he is here to stay for a long time. I am excited to see Carlos play here because I have never seen him play live.”

The 2024 edition of the Laver Cup kicked off on Friday, an exhibition event that every year brings together some of the best tennis players on the world circuit and which will end today, Sunday 22 September. Many exponents have happily joined the usual challenge between Europe and the World this year.

One of the most anticipated was undoubtedly Carlitos, already winner of 4 Slams during his short career. The Spaniard, even if he had some ups and downs due to consistency of results, was the best in the clutch moment of the season, annihilating all his opponents and winning Roland Garros and Wimbledon, as well as the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.
