The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has presented an updated list of athletes’ singles and doubles rankings, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
The top three tennis players in the world ranking remained unchanged. Pole Iga Swiatek retained her position at the top of the WTA Singles Rankings, with Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka occupying the 2nd spot. American Jessica Pegula is ranked 3rd.
Another American tennis player Coco Gauff is placed 4th. She is followed by Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina who dropped one spot.
It should be noted that Elena Rybakina announced the termination of cooperation with Croatian coach Stefano Vukov on August 23. The athlete withdrew from the US Open 2024 due to the injury after defeating Australian Destanee Aiava in two sets.
Another Kazakh athlete Yulia Putintseva dropped three spots securing 35th position in the WTA Singles Rankings.
Kazakhstani Anna Danilina landed a new spot securing 31st position in the WTA Doubles Rankings.
