Former tennis star Andrea Petkovic has talked about Jannik Sinner’s victory at the US Open, through a post on her personal blog opened on Substack.

The German also wanted to express her harsh opinion on the shameful comments of Nick Kyrgios, referring in particular to the famous second serve written under the old photo of him and Anna Kalinskaya, Jannik’s current girlfriend.

“His digs on social media make me sad and angry, but mostly sad. He could be really great on TV but he continues to self-sabotage with misogynistic nonsense. I may not be a fan of his style on TV, but his content is fantastic. Nick says positive things about women’s tennis on air but if he puts it down online, at some point people will stop believing him,” she explained.

Back to tennis and court, the German believes that the Italian always moves impeccably and never loses his balance when he hits the ball.

“For anyone who finds his tennis boring, I urge you to try to see him live, if you can. The way he moves, always in perfect balance, the way his body is slightly tilted forward as if he were skiing down a slope, it’s a beautiful thing. No matter how hard you hit him, he never loses his balance,” she added.
