Former world number one, Andy Murray, is a three-time Grand Slam champion, with two of those titles at Wimbledon, where he could play for the last time this season after his announcement months ago in which he expressed his desire to say goodbye to the professional circuit after the summer.
The third major of the season could return from a special tribute to the Scot, but everything will depend on his decision, as confirmed by the organization of the tournament through its executive president, Sally Bolton.
“We’re ready, but it’s Andy’s decision. We’re ready for whatever he decides. We can adapt”, said the manager of the British tournament that this year will be played from the first of July.

Despite his great love for tennis, Andy Murray’s career is very close to the end. “Probably if I was going to finish my career I would rather finish at Wimbledon or an Olympic Games – to me that would probably be more fitting” – he stated.
“To get a chance to compete at a fifth one is a reason to stay motivated and continue playing. Like I said, a lot of it is based on results and physically how I’m feeling as well.” he added.
In addition, Bolton detailed that in the future a statue could be built in tribute to the native of Dunblane in the facilities of the tournament, as it was done with another legend like Fred Perry.
The present is not the most positive for Andy Murray who comes from falling in the tournaments of Stuttgart, where he fell with the American Marcos Girón in two partials, a date held on grass and what is preparatory for Wimbledon.
