Manchester City and Arsenal are interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães, according to the Telegraph.
The 26-year-old is reported to be aware of the interest in him from both clubs, which could see a similar battle take place after the two Premier League title challengers competed to sign Declan Rice before his switch from West Ham United to the Emirates Stadium last summer.
A release clause in Guimarães’ contract that runs until the summer of 2028 allows him to be signed for a fee of £100 million, though it is believed that Newcastle could be prepared to move on the Brazil international for a lower fee amid their need to remain aligned with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR).
Guimarães has been in impressive form for the Magpies this season, having contributed to 10 goals in 31 matches, and has also recently been linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
