The ATP Race to Turin has been updated after the first week of the grass swing with Jannik Sinner at the top. The Italian, who reached world No. 1 after the French Open, has maintained his lead throughout most of the season, while Roland Garros finalists Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev are closing the gap.
There haven’t been significant changes for the top players in the Race after the first week on grass. However, with two ATP 500 tournaments this week at the Halle Open and Queen’s Club Championship, things could change before Wimbledon.

Jannik Sinner leads the ATP Race to the Finals with 5,300 points and an impeccable 33-3 record this year, including three titles, notably the Australian Open at the beginning of the year which earned him 2,000 points, keeping him comfortably ahead of his pursuers. Sinner will be competing in Halle this week in search of his fourth title of the season.
A bit further behind is Alexander Zverev, who reaped good rewards after the clay swing. The German won the Masters 1000 Rome Open and then came close to his first Grand Slam title, losing to Alcaraz in the Roland Garros final. Zverev has 4,385 points, keeping him securely in second place.
Rounding out the podium is the recent French Open champion Carlos Alcaraz. The 21-year-old Spaniard struggled for consistency earlier in the year, and injuries forced him to miss several tournaments, including the Monte-Carlo Masters, Barcelona Open, and Rome. Despite this, Alcaraz triumphed at Roland Garros, propelling him to third place in the Race with 3,900 points.

The ‘surprise’ in the top ranks is Casper Ruud with his 3,435 points. He won two titles during the clay swing and reached the finals at the Los Cabos Open, Mexican Open, and Monte-Carlo, as well as the semi-finals of the recent French Open. The Norwegian’s consistency has rightfully placed him high in the Race with a 39-10 record. Good results on grass could put him in a very favourable position for a Finals qualification.
Despite a shaky performance in clay tournaments, Daniil Medvedev maintains a leading position with 3,150 points in fifth place. The Russian has not won any titles this year and has yet to show his usual hardcourt prowess on grass. Further down in the Finals qualification zone is the recent Libema Open s’Hertogenbosch champion Alex De Minaur (2,505 points), followed by Stefanos Tsitsipas (2,465) and Andrey Rublev (2,220).
With the majority of the top 15 players competing this week in the ATP 500 events at the Halle Open and Queen’s Club Championship, we could see movements in the upper rankings. Close behind are Grigor Dimitrov (2,075), Novak Djokovic (1,860), Taylor Fritz (1,780), and Hubert Hurkacz (1,760).

In Djokovic’s case, he is likely to drop a few places in the Race as he will miss the entire grass swing and has confirmed his absence from Wimbledon. The 24-time Grand Slam champion is working to return for the Olympics after minor knee surgery, though his presence is still uncertain.
