Six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker celebrated his third wedding with fiancée Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, a political risk manager from the African island of São Tomé and Príncipe. The couple enjoyed a lavish weekend at a luxury resort in Portofino, Italy, with around 150 guests.

Becker, 56, is 23 years older than his wife Lilian, who stood by him during his imprisonment in the United Kingdom. The German tennis legend served two and a half years in prison after being found guilty of hiding 2.5 million euros in a high-profile bankruptcy fraud case.

The wedding took place in a location south of Genoa, a popular spot for the rich and famous. Notably, Rod Stewart married Penny Lancaster in the same place in 2007. Among the notable guests at Becker’s wedding were international model Naomi Tara Lievens, German actor and model Boris Kodjoe, and former footballer Ruud Gullit.

According to German newspaper Bild, Monteiro lives in London and holds three degrees, including a master’s from the School of Oriental and African Studies. The political risk analyst speaks five languages, including German, and is the daughter of Victor Monteiro, a former defense minister in São Tomé and Príncipe.
