As happened in the last edition of Roland Garros, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner occupy the same part of the draw also at Wimbledon and could therefore meet in the semifinals and not in the final. The goal of the Spaniard is to defend the title won at the Championships in 2023 by beating in an epic final – finished in the fifth set – Novak Djokovic.
At the start, Alcaraz will deal with the qualified Mark Lajal. The 21-year-old from Estonia performed very well in the qualifying tournament by eliminating Francesco Passaro, Henrique Rocha and finishing 3-0 to James Duckworth in the decisive round.
If he wins, he’ll find one between Sebastian Ofner and Aleksandar Vukic.
