Carlos Alcaraz explained on behalf of The Times that he loved to go home with his family above all: “When I finish a tournament, whether I win or not, my only desire is to go home to be with my family.
My father and mother, my older brother, my two younger brothers and I live under the same roof so for them, I’m not a tennis celebrity, but just another family member.
One of the particularities of tennis is that we travel a lot, and my father and older brother are there to support me. My strike mate is my older brother.
However, my mother is unable to travel with us as she takes care of my two brothers Jaime and Sergio, aged 13 and 15 respectively. Returning home with my family is beneficial, they support me unconditionally.”
After Wimbledon the world of sport will be concentrated in Paris, where the Olympic Games will be held from 26 July.
