The Brit pulled out of the Olympics despite being offered a wildcard, citing her intention to prioritize her body and health.Alcaraz and Nadal, meanwhile, have begun gearing up for their campaigns, recently taking the court together in preparation of their highly anticipated doubles partnership. The duo also ran into Gregoria Mariska Tunjung while at the Olympic village, taking the time to pose for a picture with the badminton player.

Given that the online tennis community has been intrigued by unfounded claims about Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu’s relationship, Tunjung’s resemblance to the Brit sparked hilarious reactions about Alcaraz’s seeming delight at posing with the Indonesian.

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung’s desire to get a picture with Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal comes as no surprise, as the Spanish duo have become a major attraction at the Olympic Village, with numerous athletes flocking to meet them.

Spain’s Olympic team captain David Ferrer recently shared that Nadal and Alcaraz have generated immense excitement among their fellow athletes, disclosing that it takes the Spanish contingent nearly an hour to have dinner due to the continuous photo requests for the duo.

“The atmosphere of the team is very good, they are great people as well as athletes. Rafa and Carlos generate enormous expectation. It took us 45 minutes to have dinner since we arrived because of all the photos that the athletes take with them. They have incredible humility and sympathy,” Ferrer said during a press conference.

While Rafael Nadal is aiming to clinch his second singles gold and second men’s doubles gold in his final Olympics, Carlos Alcaraz is making his debut at the prestigious sporting event.
