“King Richard” Williams’ divorce proceeding continues to labor through the courts
SERENA Williams’ wayward stepmom abandoned her huge trailer truck under a bridge on a busy highway last month, resulting in yet more troubles with the law.
Ex-stripper Lakeisha’s trucking business has been the ruin of the tennis ace’s father, legendary coach “King Richard” Williams, famously played by Oscar winner Will Smith.

The pair are going through a bitter divorce after Lakeisha allegedly faked his signature on the title deeds of his Florida mansion, transferred it into her name, and blew a $279,000 mortgage on a disastrous transport firm.
Now, Lakeisha, 45, was stopped by Florida police after dumping her truck on the Beeline Highway in Palm Beach Gardens, just a few miles from the home she’s accused of stealing from Richard, according to court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun.
Cops found the 2001 Wabash white truck abandoned under a bridge at 3:17 pm on December 28, 2023, and issued Lakeisha a ticket.
Lakeiska’s latest run-in with the law comes after she previously used the Palm Beach Gardens home as collateral to buy a Volvo trailer from hard lender David Simon, who’s still seeking to regain the $279,000 he loaned her.
Simon was forced to repossess the truck after it was found split in half in Long Island City, Queens, New York, 1,200 miles from Lakeisha’s home, causing $30,000 damage – and no sign of Lakeisha.
”The truck was located in New York, Long Island City, having been in an accident and causing $30,000 worth of damage to property,” Simon said, according to a court deposition.
“The trailer split in half, spilled its cargo all over the street, the clean up and the storage of all of that, cost $30,000.
“Josh [Simon’s brother] flew to Long Island City to get the truck and drive back here to Florida.”
It’s the fifth time in the last 10 months Lakeisha has been stopped by police due to issues with her trucks.
In the early hours of July 2, 2023, her 2004 Freightliner Columbia Conventional was pulled over with a defaced or obscured tag, according to police records.
Cops in Palm Beach County also stopped her on May 9, 2023, driving the same truck with expired tags.
Last February, she received two citations for driving the vehicle with a utility trailer, both with expired tags.
Lakeisha, a former dancer at a Miami nightclub, allegedly began faking Richard’s signature to transfer ownership of his vehicles, which were allegedly sold without his knowledge.
She admitted to selling his 1999 Bluebird motor home, worth $46,000, in 2016 but claimed under oath that it was because “I was broke by my husband [who] did not help me… so I had to sell it so I can eat and my son can eat.”
However, Richard and his son, Chavoita Lesane, claim she kept faking the former ace tennis coach’s signature and soon forged the title deeds of his own home.
In her testimony, Lakeisha said she wanted the cash as her dream was to set up a transport business as “trucks run in my family – my granddad had his own tractor.”
In aerial shots of Richard’s former home, a burnt-out truck and motor home was seen on the messy estate, which has fallen into disrepair.
Within three months of losing control of the property, Richard filed for divorce, which has been laboring through the courts ever since, as Lakeisha has made it clear she doesn’t want a divorce.
Lakeisha tried to file a motion to dismiss it, blaming third parties for Richard acting under duress.
However, Richard remains determined, and last month, the judge ordered Lakeisha to attend mediation and deposition, which she’d failed to do.
Meanwhile, Richard’s son Chavoita has threatened to file an elder abuse suit.
Chavoita previously told The U.S. Sun, “I can’t remember how long it was into the relationship as far as my dad starting to have financial headaches, like, ‘What’s going on with my social security checks?’
“Lakeisha took the Mercedes, she took the bus, she took money, what else was it? The motorcycle.
“There are so many things that she stole or forged documents for him. That’s considered elder abuse.
“We’re just putting all of it together, it’s a lot. This whole situation has been frustrating.”
