Erin Foster dodges confirmation on decade-old Harry Styles dating rumours
Erin Foster played coy when asked about past romance rumours with Harry Styles, refusing to “confirm or deny” their speculated relationship.
The 42 year old writer, daughter of music mogul David Foster, was linked to the now 30 year old pop sensation a decade ago following a pumpkin picking outing in Los Angeles, but both parties have remained mum on the matter.
During her appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’, Erin dodged the question, exclaiming: “Oh my god. I can’t confirm or deny anything. Guys! ” She then quipped, “Aren’t you allowed to plead the fifth on this show? I’m using my rights.”
Host Andy Cohen couldn’t help but wonder aloud if her response meant they did date. “I can’t figure out if that makes me think they definitely dated or definitely didn’t,” he mused while fellow guest Christian Siriano humorously remarked, “100 percent, I would tell the whole world! “.
Styles, known for his chart-topping single ‘As It Was’, has been romantically linked to several high-profile figures over the years, such as Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, and Camille Rowe. His love life continues to be a hot topic, much like the persistent fan theory involving his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson, which Louis finds “irritating.”
Addressing the speculation, he told Brazilian news outlet g1: “I think like any of those things, what is tough is I realised – I realised this some years ago – that there’s nothing I can say.” Louis opened up about how the relentless conspiracy theories afflicting him are beyond his control, saying: “There’s nothing I can do to dispel the believers of that conspiracy. They are so intertwined in what they believe to be the truth, that they won’t actually see the truth for what it is.”
He added a touch of frustration with, “I’d be lying if… It does irritate me a little bit, but it’s kind of the nature of the job, I suppose.” The pop star gets particularly wound up by rumours affecting his family life. Discussing the impact this has: “There are times when it gets far too personal within that whole space.
“I got my son, Freddie, [he] is the most important person in my life. And occasionally, it kind of broaches some stuff that are really unfair. It is kind of this thing that exists now.” Louis ruefully remarked on the situation, concluding, “There’s nothing I can do about it. Nothing I can say to stop people making up what they want to makeup. So be it.”
