Emma Raducanu suffered a disappointing first round exit at the US Open last month, and has vowed to look at her scheduling after receiving criticism for the lack of matchplay prior to the New York major.

Raducanu spent the majority of 2023 on the sidelines, after undergoing surgeries to both wrists and her left ankle, which has led to more of a restricted schedule this year for the 21-year-old.

The Brit has only played 13 events in 2024, but has a positive win-loss record of 18-12 after reaching the semi-finals in Nottingham, advancing to the last-16 of Wimbledon and helping Great Britain qualify for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

Emma Raducanu Official Schedule

After disappointment in New York, Raducanu appears to have changed her strategy after entering four upcoming tournaments in Asia.

Guangzhou International Women’s Open, Guangzhou (WTA 250) – Begins Monday 21st October

How could this impact Emma Raducanu’s WTA Ranking?

After missing eight months of action last year, Raducanu began the year ranked outside the WTA top 300, but has since climbed up to her current ranking of No.72.

With Raducanu having no points to defend for the rest of the year, the only way is up for the 2021 US Open champion with big potential points on the line.
