Luke Littler’s star continues to grow after he reached the World Darts Championship final as he received some female attention while in action at the Dutch Darts Masters
A Luke Littler fanatic attempted to get the darts sensation’s attention with a sign at the Dutch Darts Masters.
Littler, 17, became a national phenomenon at the PDC World Darts Championship earlier this month as he cruised to the final in his tournament debut. The teenager from Warrington dropped just six sets in his first six matches but fell short to world No1 Luke Humphries at the final hurdle with a 7-4 defeat.
Luke ‘The Nuke’ went on to win his first PDC title last week by beating Michael van Gerwen in the Bahrain Darts Masters final and comfortably defeated Dirk van Duijvenbode on Friday (January 27) in the Netherlands. And all of his recent triumphs saw him receive new female attention during the early stages of his 6-2 win over Van Duijvenbode.
The camera at one stage panned to a blonde bombshell in the crowd. She held up a cheeky message for the darts ace with the words: “Littler call me when you’re 18,” as she danced and blew a kiss at the camera.
Fans noticed what they deemed to be a flirtatious message and took to social media to voice their thoughts. One X user wrote: “Creepy, blatantly thinks she’s funny,” while another added: “I can’t be the only one who thinks this is absolutely rotten!”
Others chimed in by tweeting: “That’s f***ing weird man,” and: “That’s just wrong.”
Littler is already in a relationship with 21-year-old Eloise Milburn. The pair met on the development tour in August and Eloise has since been seen cheering on Littler at matches.
But their relationship sparked backlash online following Littler’s rise at the World Championship, with many taking issue with their four-year age gap. But the teenager, who was 16 at the time of the tournament, has repeatedly defended her as the pair continue to grow strong.
He said: “We knew people would find out [about our relationship] but it started off very bad. As the weeks go on [the abuse of Milburn on social media] has been almost forgotten. We’ve been talking for a few months now.
“I’ve brung her along to the World’s, got to the final and whatever people say, they can say it. It’s not going to affect me or my mental strength. I’ve got guys doing my Instagram now and they delete it before I see it.”
