Fear for Aryna Sabalenka: she skipped her press conference due to illness

Concern and fear for Aryna Sabalenka, at the end of the quarterfinal match at Roland Garros. The Belarusian tennis player, defeated in three sets by the young rising star Mirra Andreeva, canceled the press conference due to a sudden illness. A match played in total suffering, due to stomach problems, which prevented Aryna from competing to the best of her ability in the match valid for access to the semi-finals of Roland Garros.

The pain in her stomach did not cease in the minutes following the match, so much so that Sabalenka was forced to cancel her press conference. “Aryna Sabalenka is unable to take part in the post-match press conference tonight due to an ailment and is with the tournament medical team. The WTA communications team will provide Aryna’s statements which will be transcribed and uploaded to RG media,” said the tournament board in a statement.
