Gemma told The Sunday Times that even though the former One Direction member has been on a sell-out tour and can be found taking to the stage with Fleetwood Mac‘s Stevie Nicks, he still finds the time to support her.

She revealed that Harry, 30, is a hands on uncle and even took on babysitting duties for her shoot with the newspaper, tagging along to look after his niece.

The singer has also been an important part of Gemma’s mental health journey and the writer revealed in the acknowledgements of her book Why Am I Like This? that her younger brother gave her ‘pep talks’.

She thanked her mother, Anne Twist and ‘H for the pep talks and your endless wisdom’.

During the interview Gemma also revealed that her family are all very open about their mental health and she has found that comforting through the years.

And despite being the older sister she admitted that she doesn’t give Harry much advice as the whole Styles clan help each other out.

Gemma’s interview follows her candid pregnancy admission.

In April the sister of superstar Harry revealed why she kept her pregnancy a secret after she shocked fans by announcing she had given birth in February.

At the time she shared a snap of herself and partner Michal Miynowski with their daughter – much to the surprise of followers who hadn’t known she was expecting.

At the time, Gemma also posted a heartwarming photo of herself cradling her baby girl, whose name she has not revealed, in hospital.

Taking to Instagram, Gemma revealed she concealed her baby bump throughout her pregnancy to ‘keep her [daughter] safe and protected’.

She admitted she was sure someone would spot it during the last shows of her superstar brother’s Love On Tour – however no one did.

In a Q&A with her followers, Gemma was asked why she decided not to share that she was pregnant.

Sharing a snap of herself in April cradling her bump while wearing oversized jumper, Gemma replied: ‘To be honest it was a mixture of things, some more personal and some less so.

‘I wanted to wait until after some later scans but thought there was no way I was going to get through the last Love On Tour shows without seeing my bump so that would be it… but turns I managed to keep it under wraps and eventually I was like, I think I can make it to the end? And that felt like the right decision for us.’

Gemma was then commended by a follower for ‘taking care’ of her daughter’s privacy for the time being.

‘Thank you, I appreciate that!’ she said. ‘I don’t know if I’ll always feel the same about it but essentially giving out information online it’s like… you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube, you know?

‘I’ve never done this before, I don’t know what she would want and we want to keep her safe and protected.

‘I know lots of people keep their kids’ faces/names/details off social media and there are some great reasons for that, we’ll figure it out in our own time.’

She added: ‘I really appreciate all the supportive messages checking in on how we are, it’s so nice that people care – we’re good!’

And while Gemma praised her brother’s support of her and her new family, the star was more secretive in his support of former band mate Niall Horan.

The singer sent One Direction fans into a frenzy last month when he flew under the radar at the Slow Hand’s Manchester gig.

The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker was seen walking through the corridor inside the venue as he made his way to a private box where he enjoyed a low-key evening.
