It must be seriously embarrassing to go to all the troubled of getting a tattoo in a foreign language only to discover it has been spelt wrong.
Ironically gorgeous Nashville actress Hayden Panettiere’s back tattoo was meant to say vivere senza rimpianti, Italian for live without regrets, but an extra ‘i’ meant the sentiment was meaningless.
Blonde Hayden proudly debuted the lengthy tattoo two years ago but on a recent Miami beach trip, the Heroes star’s sprawling tattoo had almost vanished – after scores of people pointed out the handwritten inking was just plain wrong.
The actress, who was taking a break after filming season two of Nashville which will air on September 25 on ABC, showed off her perfect bikini body on the white sands as she fooled around with pals in the sea.
Speaking on US talk show The View last year Hayden said: ‘Here’s the thing – if you’re going to get a tattoo in a language, just don’t ever go to that country, or a country where anyone speaks that language.’
Now we understand that Hayden, who plays rising teen star Juliette Barnes in the country drama alongside Connie Britton, we argue that the toned actress should be grateful her tattoo doesn’t say something rude in Italian – or covers her whole bottom like Cheryl Cole.
