Since landing on our tv screens as Lizzie McGuire in the noughties, Hilary Duff has always delivered on relatable content. Sure, she’s definitely graduated from that awkward Disney teen to successful actor and cool mum, but she’s remained refreshingly candid and humble when it comes to her life behind the scenes. The latest example? Her *totally* relatable post-workout makeup-free selfie.
Whilst there’s no denying that Hil’s does lead a glam life – a BTS shot of filming the latest series of How I Met Your Father and fronting the cover of a magazine, are just two examples on her feed – a relatable celeb moment just hits different. We’re talking about her taking to her Instagram stories to post the blow post-gym-flushed selfie, with zero traces of makeup in sight.
There’s no denying the actress has incredible skin – seriously, does she even have pores? – but there’s something comforting about the fact she gets as flustered and sweaty getting in a workout as the rest of us.
Hil’s captioned the Insta story: “This colour explains Luca on the soccer field,”. Confirming our earlier observation that she’s not a regular mum, she’s a cool mum.
We’re sure that she’ll be back to her glam ways with her freshly-cut fashionable ‘box bob‘ in no time. But in the meantime, please drop the skincare deets, Hilary. We really need to be taking notes.
