Italy’s tennis star Jannik Sinner is inching closer to achieving yet another milestone. The 22-year-old is often regarded as one of the most highly-rated players currently playing in the men’s singles category alongside Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner has recently lived up to the hype as he won the first Grand Slam of the year in 2024 after beating the current world number three Russia’s Daniil Medvedev with a score of 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3.
Other than that, he has also won the ATP event in Rotterdam after beating Australia’s Alex de Minaur in the final in straight sets with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
As per the latest report, the current world number four is inching closer to securing more than $20 million in prize money in his career. Sinner has already bagged over $2.5 million in prize money which has taken his career prize money closer to $20 million.
The San Candido-born is roughly $500,000 away from completing $20 million in prize money and his next competition will be the Indian Wells. If he manages to finish at least as a runner-up in the competition, he will be able to achieve that feat.
Last year, Sinner was knocked out after losing to Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinal in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 6-3.
