Jubilant Jack Grealish shouts into camera in celebration – but Chelsea hit back

Jack Grealish celebrated wildly in front of the Manchester City supporters after Rodri’s goal made it 4-3 – only for Chelsea to hit back and grab a point in added time

Jack Grealish’s angry celebration after Manchester City’s fourth goal proved a tad premature as Chelsea hit back to grab a point.

The Blues and the champions played out an all-time Premier League classic as they shared eight goals at Stamford Bridge. At 3-3, both sides were still going for it, but it was City who looked to have won it when Rodri’s long-range effort took a massive deflection off Thiago Silva and flew into the net.

As the players celebrated in the corner of the pitch near the away section, Grealish grabbed Rodri and yelled in delight in the direction of the camera. However, in keeping with a crazy game, Chelsea kept plugging away and grabbed the equaliser they deserved.

The Blues were awarded a stoppage-time penalty as Ruben Dias fouled substitute Armando Broja. Former City man Cole Palmer took the responsibility from the spot and made no mistake, firing high into the net beyond Ederson.

Speaking after his first game against the his former club, Palmer said: “Very strange, the first time I have played against City – I have the upmost respect for the club I spent 15 years at and it is nice to see some friends.

“I have many City fans I know but it is the game. It was amazing [to play against City], I was excited before the game to show what I can do.”

On his long wait to take penalty as referee Anthony Taylor tried to restore order, Palmer said: “Long time waiting but I felt confident and I have had a few now. [I] kept calm and focused. [I’m] not going to say I work on them, cause I don’t, I trust on my natural ability.”
