Though some Kardashian fans seem to think the family should apparently swear blood feuds and vendettas against any man who should ever break their hearts forever, Khloe Kardashian, in particular, has shown a commendable level of poise when it comes to keeping in touch with the people who have been a part of her life.
It’s fair to say Kardashian and ex-beau Tristan Thompson have had a tumultuous few years, which has involved the birth of their daughter, cheating scandals, and even a televised lie detector test. As Kardashian described it on a recent episode of , the status now is that the two “have a great friendship relationship.” However, she stresses that she still has firm boundaries.
As for why Kardashian is willing to let bygones be bygones with the basketball star? “For my kids, I will put anything to the side,” she wrote.
That “family first” attitude also extends to those in Thompson’s family, as evidenced by Kardashian and Thompson throwing a 17th birthday party for his brother, Amari. Page Six notes that Kardashian “took in {Amari} after his and Tristan’s mom, Andrea Thompson, died earlier this year.”
In an Instagram post showing Kardashian celebrating with daughter True, niece Dream, mother Kris Jenner, and Amari, she captioned the image, “Happy birthday sweet, sweet Amari!!!” telling him, “We are all so blessed to have been touched by an angel such as you.”
Thompson and Jenner also attended the party based on social media posts. Page Six couldn’t confirm if Kim Kardashian also participated in the party, but noted that she did give Amari a shoutout in her Instagram stories “with a throwback video of the family—including Andrea—singing “Happy Birthday” to him.”
