The F1 star has reacted after the final day of the Premier League season
Lewis Hamilton has said he’s ‘so proud’ of Arsenal’s form this season, despite the north London giants narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.
The Gunners went into the final day of the season hoping for West Ham to do them a favour by getting something from their clash with Manchester City.
Arsenal fought their way to a 2-1 win over Everton, with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kai Havertz both on target.
But City were crowned champions after a 3-1 victory over West Ham, with Phil Foden bagging a brace and Rodri also finding the net.

Hamilton is a huge Arsenal fan.
And the F1 star, writing on Instagram, said he was ‘so proud’ of their efforts this term – despite coming up shorthisl
“Proud of this team,” he wrote. “It’s ours next season.”
Arsenal challenged City for Premier League supremacy last term, only to come up short.
And history repeated itself on Sunday, with the Gunners now going two decades and counting since their last league crown.
They scored 91 goals from their 38 matches, conceding just 29 along the way.
Yet Mikel Arteta’s side will need to lick their wounds and go again if they’re to pip City to title glory last season.
Arteta addressed the Arsenal crowd at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, with the Spaniard insisting his team will give everything to end their agonising wait for the league title.
“All this is happening because you started believing, you started to be patient and started to understand what we tried to do,” he said.
“All the credit has to go to the players and the staff.
“Now it’s time to have a break, think and reflect.
“Please, keep pushing and inspiring this team.
“Don’t be satisfied. We want much more than that and we’re going to get it.”
While it was a painful day for Arsenal, however, it was another significant one for City.
Pep Guardiola’s team have won the league four years in a row, something not even Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho could manage.
City are simply unstoppable and a level above all of their rivals.
Yet Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports, believes Arsenal and Liverpool will continue to pose a threat in the coming years ahead.
“Thank you so much. Wow. It was nice, of course it was worse for Arsenal, Liverpool as well but especially Arsenal to bring us to push another level,” he said.
“Before it was Liverpool who pushed us to our limits in these past two seasons, especially this one has been an incredible season.
“We get the message, so I know they will be there for many years.
“Big talent and a young manager and a young squad, a young team, they sent us a message we need to be careful for the next years.
“Today is the day for celebrating it. The people tell me, next seven years you are going to win six Premier League titles!
“I will say you are insane. It’s not going to happen, it happened.”
