After being recognised by Forbes as one of the top rising stars in sport, the darts star put his prize money to good use by treating his friends and girlfriend. The 17-year-old took his nearest and dearest to Blackpool on Saturday, April 13, days after being named in the Forbes 30 under 30 list for Sports and Games.

It comes after Luke said he would spend his PDC World Darts Championship winnings on the day out. Previously speaking to TalkSPORT he said: “All my friends are watching at home, we’ve always said we need to go Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Alton Towers so I think they will be looking at me like ‘you’re paying, Luke’ and I’ll be like, yeah, okay.”

“It was fantastic to see him on the cover of Forbes after being named in the 30 Under 30 Class of 2024, and even better that he wanted to celebrate by taking his friends to visit us. It doesn’t hurt that he chose to visit us over Alton Towers, either.”

So far in 2024, he has won the Bahrain Darts Masters and finished runner-up in the Dutch Darts Masters this year. With another six nights remaining, Littler will be hoping to tot up the points and be in the playoffs, where the overall winner takes home £275,000.

Littler was chosen for the honour by a panel of judges including Sir Mo Farah and Fifa’s Chief of Women’s Football Sarai Bareman. Other notable names who made the list included footballers Jude Bellingham and Lioness Alessia Russo.
