Kyrgios praises Djokovic’s Wimbledon run and funnily tells the Serb to relax a bit now.
Nick Kyrgios has a good idea about what Novak Djokovic should do next as the Australian tennis star is telling the 37-year-old Serb to get some beers and relax after a deep Wimbledon run in which he fell just short of landing the title.
On Sunday, Djokovic was bidding to become the first player male or female with 25 Grand Slams and he was also hoping to tie Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon title. But unfortunately for Djokovic, he didn’t come anywhere near winning that day after Carlos Alcaraz delivered a clinical performance to seal a 6-2 6-2 7-6 (4) win and beat the Serb in the final at The Championships for a second year in a row.
“Every time I walk on to Centre Court, I am filled with such gratitude that I am living out my childhood dream. Felicidades, @carlitosalcarazz, well deserved, my friend,” Djokovic wrote on Instagram.
In the comment section, Kyrgios wrote: “Good effort, great 2 weeks bro. Now for some beers.”
