Paige Spiranac’s Honest Admission On Posing For Sports Illustrated

Former professional golfer turned sports media personality Paige Spiranac comes across on social media as an extremely confident person.

However, it wasn’t always that way.

Spiranac, who played collegiately at the University of Arizona and San Diego State, opened up to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit after posing for the edition.

“I had a lot of health issues growing up,” Paige said. “On top of the hair condition, I had asthma and bad social anxiety. I was one weird little kid. So I know how it feels to be an outsider, how it feels to be bullied, to have no friends, to be that person no one wanted around.”

Spiranac said she had an incredible experience with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

“I’ve been a fan for such a long time and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would get the opportunity to be a part of the SI Swimsuit family. I get chills every time I think about it. So yes, it’s still that hard to believe and I’m still in disbelief!” she told SI Swim.

The 2022 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue will be out later this year.
