In a fun interaction on social media, the 20-time Grand Slam champion was involved in a question-and-answer session, where Roger Federer responded to some interesting questions thrown at him. During his playing days, fans were in awe of his playing style, as he possessed a god-gifted talent that looked natural. ‘Elegant’ as you may call it, his matches were always enthralling to watch for the fans. Speaking about who he thought was closest to replicating his elegant style, Federer said, “Elegant on court, maybe give that to Alcaraz, just because I think he plays elegant tennis. He deserves the sparkles.”
The elegant style of tennis by Alcaraz was on full display during his victorious French Open campaign this year and also during his previous US Open and Wimbledon victories. As a result, Federer picked him over Novak Djokovic, as he reserved something else for the Serb. Meanwhile, talking about a workaholic character, Roger Federer revealed, “More energy and never tire, the battery, I’ll put that to Novak Djokovic, just because he’s so strong physically and mentally, I’ll give him the battery.”
