Simona Halep (32 years old) was asked if she has found a new coach after ending her collaboration with Spaniard Carlos Martinez.
The former world number one, who has cleared her doping suspension and returned to the court, announced that she is not rushing to find a new coach.
Halep mentioned what she wants to do before choosing her new coach and team to work with for her return to the elite of tennis.
“No, not at the moment. I need to regain a bit of self-confidence first, and then I will decide on a team, as I always had. Not for now, I don’t have one,” stated Simona Halep, to Pro TV.
Simona Halep played her last official match of 2024 at the Trophee Clarins, against McCartney Kessler, where she retired due to medical issues.
