This tennis star shocked the whole fraternity after a drug test found a banned substance in her body. After that, Halep’s professional tennis career went downward spiral since the International Tennis Integrity Agency banned her from attending matches.
Halep was accused of taking Roxadustat, a banned drug that helps to enhance performance. It happened back in the 2022 US Open tournament. Now that Simona Halep is appealing to the court and fighting for her rights in tennis, her ex-coach extended his support.

Recently this tennis star shared a gratitude post on her official Instagram story. In this story, fans spotted Halep with her team. Sharing the photo Halep wrote- “Three intense days of showing my innocence. I want to offer special thanks to Howard, Claude and Bogdan for their tremendous work done.”
Simona Halep’s social media story was shared by her ex-coach Darren Cahill, who wrote– “I stand with Simo.” This solidarity must have meant a great source of motivation for the player, who is struggling to clear her name from the doping case.
Another tennis source shared a clip where Halep was spotted speaking about her trial. Sharing this clip, this source added- “Simona Halep’s appeal hearing has ended after 3 long days. Simona: ‘I can tell you that this hearing gave me the chance to present my defense, my confidence is intact, it will be proven that I never had the intention of doping. I trust that the truth will come out.’
While Halep’s ex-coach came forward to support his former pupil, Tennis veteran Roger Federer has a different opinion about it.

Swiss tennis maestro Federer dropped his bits about Halep’s doping case. he said- “Of course, she’s got the right to fight the case, like everybody else as well. I’m just for zero tolerance,” Federer’s statement expressed that despite acknowledging Halep’s right to fight the verdict, this tennis legend was completely against any kind of doping. This also meant that he was not cool with raising support for Simona Halep.
