In an interview given to the Express, however, the Swiss champion Stan Wawrinka believes that Andy Murray will not retire yet. Murray who has repeatedly reiterated his desire to retire.
However, according to Wawrinka, the British tennis player made these statements in a moment of heat, or lack of clarity, and could soon change his mind.
“It is normal that we are asked these questions. As for him, I’m not sure he’ll stop this summer. I think he made the announcement in the heat of the moment after losing a game, but I’m not sure he’ll stop this summer. I think it’s because he is passionate about the game and has mixed feelings depending on the outcome. It’s not easy to manage emotions. But I think as long as he has passion and feels competitive, he will continue,” he told.
Even Rafael Nadal, in recent weeks, had praised the Scottish champion for his determination.

Meanwhile, Murray has received a wild card to participate in the ATP 250 tournament in Geneva, which will be played from 18 to 25 May. The Scotsman has therefore fully recovered from the serious injury, even before the initial schedule.
Murray, according to rumors, is convinced he can play the Roland Garros for the last time. In this case, according to journalist James Gray, he intends to play both singles and doubles at Roland Garros. Andy could play the doubles in Paris together with compatriot Daniel Evans. If he were to participate in the Olympics, however, his doubles partner would have to change. The main suspect to team up with him in the Olympic tournament is Joe Salisbury.
