Stefanos Tsitsipas’ mother Julia has opened up about her feelings regarding her son’s relationship with Paula Badosa. She also shed light on how the couple rekindled their romance after their brief separation earlier this year.

Tsitsipas and Badosa first went public with their relationship in May 2023, frequently sharing pictures of their time and gushing over each other in the media. However, just a few weeks before their first anniversary in May this year, the Spaniard announced that they had chosen to “amicably” part ways.Their breakup was short-lived, as the pair were spotted enjoying each other’s company just a few weeks later. Tsitsipas confirmed that they got back together before the French Open, explaining that the “pressures of the tour” had contributed to their split and that it had been “hard for them to be apart.”

In a recent appearance on ANT1’s ‘Breakfast,’ Stefanos Tsitsipas’ mother Julia disclosed that she played an instrumental role in the pair’s reunion, as she offered support to Paula Badosa and encouraged her to reconcile with the World No. 12. Julia also expressed her delight at seeing her son so happy to be back together with Badosa.

“Stefanos is happy to be with Paula Bandosa again and that’s the most important thing. If he’s happy I’ll be happy too. There was a difficult period when they were separated, I was by Paula’s side, we talked and that’s how they got back together,” she said.

In an interview with SDNA earlier this year, Stefanos Tsitsipas opened up about his decision to break up and get back together with Paula Badosa, admitting that it only took him a few weeks to realize how “intense” their love for each other was.

“It seemed like a mountain to combine these two (personal and professional life) and I made the decision to take a break. After two-three weeks, I realized that she is the person who has supported me a lot. And when she tried to talk to me about meeting, I felt how intense the love we have for each other is,” Stefanos Tsitsipas said.

The couple recently enjoyed some quality time together in Monaco following their US Open campaigns, living lavishly as they cruised around in a stylish Aston Martin sports car.Stefanos Tsitsipas has since arrived in Berlin for the 2024 Laver Cup, teaming up with the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Grigor Dimitrov to represent Team Europe.
