Novak Djokovic recently filmed himself skipping, later sharing the moment. The Serb is currently on a hiatus in the aftermath of his shock third-round loss at the 2024 US Open.
Djokovic went into this year’s edition of the US Open as the defending champion, having won his 24th Grand Slam title at the hardcourt Major last year. The former World No. 1 secured first and second-round wins over Radu Albot and Laslo Djere (walkover) respectively to set up a third-round clash against Alexei Popyrin.However, what many expected to be a routine win for the Serb against the Aussie turned out to be a damning defeat, as the defending champion at Flushing Meadows was sent crashing out. Since then, he has not featured at an ATP Tour-level event, though he did play his part in securing Serbia’s place in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers.
Recently, Novak Djokovic posted a video on his TikTok that featured the Serb effortlessly flexing his skipping skills. In the video, the Serb can be seen skipping quite rapidly, and at one point, he starts skipping on one leg; a reflection of his stellar athleticism even at the age of 37.Watch the video below:
It remains to be seen where the former World No. 1 plays next. He himself stated after steering Serbia to the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers that right now, all that matters to him are tournaments where he will represent his country and the Grand Slams.

Djokovic has endured a subpar year so far, with his only significant success coming at the Paris Olympics, where he won the gold medal. Other than that, the Serb’s fortunes this season have been mixed, even though he did reach the Australian Open semifinals and the Wimbledon final.
After ensuring Serbia’s spot in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers, the former World No. 1 was asked about his thoughts on potentially playing at the year-end Nitto ATP Finals. In his response, the 24-time Major winner suggested that he doesn’t consider the prestigious year-end event important anymore and that he would rather focus on playing for Serbia and at Majors going forward.
“Torino is not my goal at all, to be honest, I am not chasing ATP Finals, I am not chasing the rankings etc. As far as I am concerned, I am done with those tournaments for my career. Whether I will play other tournaments this year or in the future, I can’t say right now. My main priorities are playing for the national team and slams, everything else is less important,” Djokovic said.
There are a couple of exhibition tournaments lined up for the Serb. The first is the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia in October. He has also agreed to play an exhibition match against former rival Juan Martin del Potro in Argentina in December.
