There have been rumours that Carlo Agostinelli, a former Harrow head boy and Stanford soccer standout, is dating 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu.
Agostinelli and Raducanu were recently spotted leaving Oswald’s in Mayfair.
The glamorous private members’ club is a known haunt for A-listers and royalty and was the chosen venue for Agostinelli’s 23rd birthday celebrations.
According to the Tatler: “Emma and Carlo arrived in style at around 7.30pm. Raducanu dazzled in a green-toned silver dress with delicate pleated skirt which swirled around her as she walked into the club. She topped the stylish outfit with a navy blazer, accessorising with low black heels which each had a black bow, and a ring on her middle finger.
“Carlo, meanwhile, sported a navy blue suit, along with a co-ordinated navy shirt and white handkerchief in his top pocket. He paired the outfit with a couple of stylish navy blue velvet slippers, complete with green palm tree embroidery detail on the front. The couple reportedly left the club at around 11:30 pm.
Agostinelli is the son of 70-year-old billionaire Robert Agostinelli, a former Goldman Sachs banker who now runs a private equity firm in London and even sought to acquire Liverpool football club at one point prior to the club’s acquistion by FSG, and Mathilde Favier.
The Harrow graduate continued his education at Stanford University in the United States, where he reportedly studied international relations and played football in his spare time. He and Raducanu were first seen together when they posted Instagram pictures from Mexico but they have not publicly confirmed a relationship.
When Emma Raducanu was captured on camera in front of Agostinelli’s £2 million property in Kensington in the middle of June, the whispers appeared to be more accurate than ever though.
And at the beginning of July, the two were also seen leaving a Whole Foods together while sporting casual wear.
Jet-setting Agostinelli was born in Paris but appears to be something of a citizen of the world although his permanent residence is in London.
Agostinelli was considered a notable talent as a footballer and trialled with the PSG Academy, INF Clairefontaine and Tottenham Hotspur before high school.
He joined Tottenham’s development squad for three months before being awarded a football outstanding talent award to attend the prestigious Harrow School.
He was a member of Harrow’s Philathletic Club an honour reserved for the school’s top athletes.
Agostinelli founded The Eleven Foundation, a non-profit organisation which raises funds to aid children that come from disadvantaged communities to build a life through football.
He has two older brothers, Giovanni and Massimo, an older sister, Heloise, and a younger sister, Angelica.
Agostinelli was also a diligent academic at Harrow, leading the school’s French and Italian societies and being awarded the prize for best ancient historian at Harrow School in 2016.
At Stanford he was a regular player in the midfield for three seasons before ending his football career in December 2022.
