The young British player will play in the first round in Auckland tomorrow
Emma Raducanu talked about herself in a long interview on the Tatlerasia website. During the off-season, the 21-year-old British woman was in Hong Kong as Global Brand Ambassador of HSBC, one of the largest banking groups in the world.

Emma has a decidedly international personal history: she was born in Toronto, Canada, on November 13, 2002 to a Romanian father from Bucharest and a Chinese mother from Shenyang.
She moved with her family to the UK when she was just two years old and grew up in London. She talkee about the Chinese branch of her family in this interview: “I had never been to Hong Kong. My father had always said that it is one of the most beautiful places he has been and that it is surreal with the landscape, the city, the mountains and water.
I’ve always heard good things about it since I was six.”

Emma, after the victory at the 2021 US Open she never repeated herself at those levels and had to stop due to serious injuries.
In these days there will be her return to the WTA Tour. The British tennis player has already landed in Auckland, New Zealand and is preparing for the tournament to be played in the first week of 2024. “I think anyone who’s worked with me and around me knows that I’m a hard worker. It’s true that if you put in hours and hours and hours and hours, you’ll get there.
But at a certain point, if you don’t get results, you also need to know how to work smarter for better results,” she explained. Emma will play tomorrow in the first round in Auckland against Romanian Gabriela Rus. If she wins, she will face the winner of the match between the two WTA Tour mothers, Caroline Wozniacki and Elina Svitolina.
The young Briton’s draw is decidedly complex, and getting to the end of the tournament will be very complicated for her. Both for the danger of her opponents and for her absence from tennis, which has continued for over 8 months.
