Former Britain’s number one, Andy Murray, is set to return to the Queen’s to participate in the Clinch Championship. The grass court season is well underway, and players worldwide are participating to prepare for the third Grand Slam of the year.
Wimbledon 2024 will begin from Jule 01st as players will battle to secure the ultimate prize. One of the players who will have all the attention coming into the mega-event is Britain’s Murray.
The former world number one has struggled with form and fitness and has recently hinted that he might decide to retire soon.
Therefore, many believe that in a few weeks, the three-time Grand Slam winner will take the court in London for the last time.
To prepare for the mega-event, Murray will return to Queen’s to compete in the upcoming Clinch Championship.
It will be the first time in three years that the Glasgow-born star will participate in the mega-event. His last appearance in the competition was in 2021, when he was defeated in the quarterfinal by Italy’s Matteo Berrettini by a score of 6-3, 6-3.
Overall, Murray has a fabulous record in the competition, where he has lifted the title as many as five times. His first triumph came in 2009 when he defeated America’s James Blake in the final in straight sets with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
