The Manchester City winger shared the story of Dylan Lamb on his social media.
Dylan Lamb, 20, went to the doctors with the belief he had pulled a muscle in his back. But blood tests confirmed that he had Pecursor T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
A GoFundMe page was set up family friend Kelly Payne in the hope of raising funds for medical treatment in America. The fund is currently at more than £90,000 and Grealish donated £5,000.
The City star also shared the page on his Instagram story, alongside the words ‘Please have a read’, followed by a broken heart and a crying emoji.
“We were coming home for Easter and it got progressively worse, he lost his appetite and was being sick,” Dylan’s girlfriend Phoebe Cole told WalesOnline. “His mum took him to A&E in unbearable pain and a blood test showed his white blood cells were through the roof.
“It all happened so fast, he was diagnosed with Precursor T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and then three days later he was having chemotherapy.
