n a bold move, golf influencer Paige Spiranac didn’t hold back in criticizing Zach Johnson, the 2023 US Ryder Cup captain, for his recent conduct at the Masters.
Spiranac, known for her outspokenness, took to her X account to express her dismay.
The incident in question occurred when Johnson, after missing a crucial putt on hole 12, scored a triple and was heard uttering “F**k off” at Masters patrons who had cheered him on. This outburst not only affected his score but also dashed his hopes of making the cut at the prestigious tournament.
“The patrons at Augusta are unbelievably supportive and mild mannered,” Spiranac wrote on X.
“You can’t find a more pleasant environment to play golf in. The fact ZJ said this proves he’s softer than baby poop. Such a bad look.”

Spiranac hitting out at Johnson again
This isn’t the first time Johnson has found himself at odds with fans. Earlier this year, during the WM Phoenix Open, he was visibly upset with the crowd’s behavior, sparking controversy and drawing criticism from Spiranac once again.
In response to Johnson’s remarks about the WM Phoenix Open, Spiranac defended the tournament’s significance in growing the game of golf and urged Johnson to reconsider his stance.
“Big ZJ fan but personally hate this take,” she noted.
“Don’t play it then. It’s been a fantastic tournament for the growth of the game over the years.”
