In Bahrain, Littler, then 17, stormed through the field, defeating Nathan Aspinall and Michael van Gerwen before facing Humphries in the final. “I’m happy with the way I played,” Littler said after his Bahrain win, reflecting on his ability to maintain composure against the world’s best. His 7-3 victory, which included a nine-dart finish, was a statement of intent, proving that his World Championship performance was no fluke. Fast forward to Poland, and Littler’s second triumph over Humphries was equally compelling.
