Former darts world champion Dennis Priestley thinks Romeo Beckham is one of a number of high profile figures looking to take advantage of the Luke Littler bandwagon
A former darts world champion says he’s worried about Luke Littler being taken advantage of.
The Nuke is one of the biggest sports stars in the country after taking the world of darts by storm over the past few months, having finished runner-up at the World Darts Championship. The 17-year-old has established himself as one of the game’s best players and has been winning fans the world over with his down to earth personality and humility.
But according to 1991 World Darts Championship winner Dennis Priestley, being that famous and that popular will present plenty of problems for Littler.
Last week, the darts whizz was challenged to game of arrows by David Beckham’s son Romeo, and Priestley has warned Littler to be careful about who he shares his limelight with.
“It’d be incredible to get David Beckham involved in darts – I’m not so sure about Romeo. Is he just trying to jump on the bandwagon of Luke Littler’s media attention?” Priestley, 73, told OLBG.
